We can definitely call 2019 an interesting year for startups and scale-ups. Lots of developments internationally, from failing unicorn WeWork to Antler coming to The Netherlands shaking up the Dutch accelerator scene.
We stirred some rumour around Prinsjesdag, shared our insights on the budgetary notice and made it all the way to BNR stating the improvements we believe are necessary for The Netherlands to succeed in becoming the startup state of Europe.

For 2020 we hope that the government will come with additional fiscal incentives regarding venture capital and more financial means for breakthrough technologies such as AI. In the recent ‘growth letter’ by the Economic Affairs department startups and scale-ups are mentioned as essential for economic prosperity. That’s the way we like it!
